Finding the fastest way through a corner isn’t always about sticking to the line that feels “just right.” Sometimes, pushing closer to the apex unlocks hidden speed. Imagine starting wide, aiming your entry toward the curb, and adjusting when you clip the apex—earlier or later, depending on the turn’s demands. On the exit, let the car drift naturally across the track, using every inch of space. Over time, these adjustments become automatic, and once they do, you can fine-tune your approach to shave off even more time.
You are braking and accelerating at the same time, reducing your car's braking capabilities and causing you to carry too much speed and overshoot the corner as a result, costing you a considerable amount of time as a result as your exit is significantly compromised. Try make sure you are not resting your foot on both pedals, only using one at a time, to make the most out of each pedal. It'll keep you in control of your car and help gain you more time overall. - Example

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪

There are times when you hit the apex perfectly, nice and tight with a good line out of the corner. However, there are too many times when you are not pushing this enough and there is still room to get tighter on the apex. Remember start wide on the entry kerb, sight your apex (late or early apex), turn-in smoothly and then accelerate after hitting the apex so that you need to use the full width of the track.
A little more practice and you'll get that feeling for each corner. At that point more experimentation can be done to tweak for small improvements.
Extra - So currently you're losing a lot of corner speed from turning the steering wheel too much. This can cause a lot of understeer since you're essentially making the tyres slide on the track. Try to reduce your steering input, trying to match the reference lap, and then slightly turn a little more each lap. Once you see that the car is not responding to your inputs, you've found the tyres' grip limit. Now you only need to stay under that limit - Example
Driving at Brands Hatch requires smoothness in all areas, but mainly braking and steering. Combining smooth trail braking with careful steering inputs will help you discover a lot more grip around the track, reducing your lap times.
Good luck!

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress. Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - You are braking with too much pressure for too long for a lot of corners, which causes your speed to be significantly lower than optimal, and costing you time considerably through some of the faster corners in particular. Try braking with maximum pressure for less time, and instead, gradually ease off the brakes as you are approaching the apex. Maximum brake pressure while turning will induce understeer and prevent the car from reaching the apex, the easing off the brakes allows the car to rotate into the corner whilst still being able to slow the car down. - Example

There were some good segments but unfortunately too many missed braking points. Practice trying to be consistent. This is best done by driving a little slower than your maximum. Remember your braking points and try to repeat for 3 laps in a row, always trying to be within a second and a half of the lap before. Only when you achieve this try going a little faster. Repeat his process for many laps but don't forget to put back to the analysis to make sure you aren't making any big mistakes.
Brake hard and fast, never rest your foot on the brake before committing to the braking point.
Good luck and I'm sure with enough laps and the advice above you'll be passing this driving skill
Extra - At the moment, it is all about your braking. Focus on the concept of weight transfer, which is essential for effective braking. When you apply the brakes, your car’s weight shifts forward, increasing grip on the front tires. Try to concentrate on braking later, but ensure you diminish speed efficiently by braking hard at the threshold of your traction. Learn your braking points as best as you can; utilize trail braking to maintain speed through corners while gently easing off the brake as you enter the turn. Don't worry too much about this part; we'll be picking this up later in training. This nuanced approach to braking is a crucial step in your learning and will significantly improve your lap times - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
