Finding the fastest way through a corner isn’t always about sticking to the line that feels “just right.” Sometimes, pushing closer to the apex unlocks hidden speed. Imagine starting wide, aiming your entry toward the curb, and adjusting when you clip the apex—earlier or later, depending on the turn’s demands. On the exit, let the car drift naturally across the track, using every inch of space. Over time, these adjustments become automatic, and once they do, you can fine-tune your approach to shave off even more time.

Bonus Focus Point

There are too many times where you are overshooting the corner, carrying too much speed and completely missing the apex. Try holding the brakes for longer, as you are currently releasing them too early. By holding the brakes for longer, you are allowing the car to slow down that little bit more for the apex, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed and make the corner, gaining you more time overall as a result. - Example

Your braking points are ok however your technique could do with a bit more work. We will look at that in more detail after the next skill. This is good enough to pass so we will move onto the next assignment. Good luck and have fun!

Extra -

You aren't turning the steering wheel enough right now which means you're not maximising the tyres grip through corners. If you turn the wheel more (although not too much, otherwise you'll get understeer!) you can take some more speed into the corner. - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track đź’Ş

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
