Instructor Notes

16/03/2026 -28/05/2026 - 11/06/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

There are a coulpe things we need to work on before we move on. Have a look at the advice bellow and give this assignment another go. Remember to check back with the reference lap to see what you're doing differently!

Extra - When braking try to be more consistent with your brake pressure. When braking you want to apply the brakes quickly, hold the peak pressure (this changes depending on the corner) and then release quickly again. Currently, you are braking a lot, then lifting off, the braking more again and lifting off. This can unsettle the car and means you have to brake earlier. Make sure to compare with the reference lap in between sessions and have a look at your brake inputs. - example

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.  Good luck and have fun on track

Extra - Avoid hitting the brake pedal multiple times in one braking zone. Ideally you want to hit it firmly to begin with and then ease off as things slow down. Hitting it more than once suggests you broke too early. Example

There's still some improvement needed to pass this assignment. You're often braking quite early, releasing and reapplying the brakes in the longer braking zones. This is, of course, bad because you're still braking very early. However, it's a good sign that you're starting to understand how much speed you can carry through each corner. Go through your telemetry and compare the reference lap's braking points to yours, then try to transfer that knowledge to the track. You're on a good path, just need some smaller adjustements!

Extra - One thing you can do to help with the braking points is working on being smoother on the brakes. The first touch on the brakes needs to be sharp, you're good on that part. However, even when you hit a good braking point, you're often releasing the brakes very quickly and sometimes still tapping them a second time, needlessly (example). These quick and sharp inputs provoke weight shifts in the car, often causing understeer.
Try to focus on braking in a single motion and smoothly ease off the brakes when you start turning into the corner and continue this motion as you increase the steering angle. Aim to be fully off the brakes once you reach the apex.
Good luck!

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
