Great use of trail braking, by releasing the brake slowly to help rotate the car around sharper hairpins and get back on the throttle smoothly. This will help shave tenths off your time as you are setting yourself up well for the corner exit. Try also to be a little flexible about the power of your braking, remember of faster corners you can avoid braking all the way to 100%.
You are releasing the throttle completely in the straight, costing you free time unnecessarily. Try keep the throttle fully down until you need to release it to brake for the corner, to avoid losing unnecessary lap time. - Example

As more skills are added to the combination assessments they naturally become harder. Essentially there are more areas where errors can be seen. You did an extremely good job last week and managed to pass. If you look back at your telemetry you'll be able to spot small improvements that are needed. For example, sometimes just a slight hesitation on the throttle as you accelerate or missing a tight apex.
Extra -
You are applying too much brake pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as a result. Try applying less brake pressure so you can carry more speed through the corner and gain more time overall due to maintaining a higher minimum speed. - Example
----------------------
13/05/2026
This is unfortunately not a pass yet. As we progress, these combination assessments become a bit harder since we're adding more skills to it. With this second combination assessment we are now looking at eight different factors that make up your driving prowess.
The main things you need to look into are chicanes and corner complexes, your racing line as often a bit off in these segments, which was costing you time; look into your brake pressure, you're often braking very hard, very quickly in corners where light brake modulation is needed; even though you're using all of the track's width in most segments, there were a few important ones where you can push that further; and finally, but not the least important, you were on and off the throttle in a lot of segments, sometimes compensating for that hard braking before the apex and that can lead to some bad muscle memory that will affect your driving in the future, so try to invest in smooth and more mindful movements on the throttle. Some cars need a bit of a push on the accelerator to help them turn into the corner, but being on and off a lot won't help much on that regard.
Other than that, your braking points are very good, so are your gear choices and you're barely missing an apex, which is great!
Keep up the good work and you'll surely pass with just a bit more practise. Good luck!
Extra -
Your movements on the brakes are too sharp in almost every segment, as you can see in this example, that affects your speed at the apex and consequentially your exit speed. Instead of a quick and sharp input, try to release the brakes more carefully and smoothly, carry that movement further into the corner so you can brake later while keeping the car balanced and under control.
----------------------
30/04/2026
This is a pass. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. There are a few hesitations but in general you are on the right track. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off. Now focus on speeding this up, but not too much that you need to lift off - find the sweet spot.
Extra -
You are coming on throttle too early mid-apex, causing you to have too much apex speed, resulting in having to get off the throttle and apply it again on the exit, which costs you time. Try be more patient before getting on throttle, so that when you are getting on throttle, it is at a smooth rate without having to release and apply it again. - Example
----------------------
16/04/2026
Impressively consistent race times, showcasing your dedication and skill. This consistent performance is a crucial asset as you prepare for your upcoming Combination Assessment. Keep up the great work, it's evident that you're on the right track towards achieving your goals.
Extra -
You are applying maximum brake pressure and instantly releasing it in every corner, causing your speed to be significantly lower than optimal at the apex and costing you considerable time, as you are not managing the brake pressure properly. Have a look at the reference lap, and try do more laps with less pressure, and slowly ease off it as you approach the apex, so you can maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time. - Example

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Hi, apologises for the delay. Your track usage is really good. Not much to comment on here! We'll move onto the next skill now. Best of luck and have fun!
Extra -
Often, you were a little deep on initial turn in and thats because you have got too much brake input while turning. This overloads the tyres grip (may be activating the ABS as well) which causes them to slide. Try releasing the brakes a little earlier. - example
----------------------
04/03/2026
Hi, apologise for the delay. Your chicanes are good, however make sure you don't get on the power too early during the first turn as it can push you wide and comprimise your line through the second bend.
Extra -
Sometimes, it's better to brake a bit earlier with less pressure, but for longer. This allows for better weight transfer and avoids unsettling the car. There were a few corners like this but you were braking heavily and quickly. You found a bit of time under braking but lost time in the corner. Try to copy the reference laps brake shape for a bit and see how you get on. - example

When it comes to the chicanes in particular there are some key areas we can look to improve. In particular you typically enter the corner quite a bit slower than you could do. When looking at the reference lap it is often because you are not committing and cutting the apexes as much as you could be, especially on the way in. Of course this is a fine balance but it looks like there is more on the table. The straighter the line you can get away with will allow you to carry the most speed through the back to back corners.
Extra - One area to target is improving your minimum speed in corners, which relies heavily on braking later and staying committed to the throttle through the turn. This will tighten the gap in your corner exit performance. For instance, experimenting with a slightly later braking zone can unlock more consistent speed retention. Example

This is a bit of a close pass, but a pass nonetheless, well done!
Your apexes and gear choices are looking good! However we need to address some things about your braking. First, you need to review some of your braking points, there are some segments where you're braking a bit late. Your speed on the brake pedal is very good, but you're often braking very hard for most corners, even when you don't need to. Also, there are quite a few segments where you're not only braking too hard, but are also on and off the brakes. Those mistakes will affect the car's balance and grip though the whole corner, besides usually making you slow down too much. Remember to check your telemetry after each session to find segments where you can improve these things.
Keep up the good work and good luck on your next assignment!
Extra - Braking hard like in this example is giving you quite a lot of understeer at the corner entry, that's one of the main reasons why you need to be mindful of how much brake pressure you use for the duration of the corner. Maintaining braking smoothness is key in racing to keeping the car balanced and maximising grip. You should apply the brakes sharply at first, but then release them gradually. Begin easing off the brakes right as you start turning into the corner, and continue this slow release until you hit the apex.

It is a hard task to bring all these skills together at the same time. Keep up the work, it is worth persevering. By concentrating on the important of the braking point and power will make it possible to turn your attention more to the throttle. It is at this point that you'll see the biggest improvements in your times. The braking points and apex work suffered in this combination assessment. Concentrate on these two areas to move onto the next training plan.
Extra - One area to target is improving your minimum speed in corners, which relies heavily on braking later and staying committed to the throttle through the turn. This will tighten the gap in your corner exit performance. For instance, experimenting with a slightly later braking zone can unlock more consistent speed retention. Example

Good corner gear choices. It is often the case that people change down too far in a belief that it will be faster however, you nailed this. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far.
You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!
Extra - Nice fortnight of driving again. Take a look at this segment you were tempted into changing up to 6th. Not really an issue but probably unnecessary for this tiny amount of time. The main issue with this segment is your racing line. It is a little off, going wider on the exit of the first corner would allow you a straighter line through the rest of the complex. A little heavy on the brakes as well has resulted in losing 0.4s. The best thing is, small adjustments and the knowledge that you shouldn't need to brake so much will help knock a tenth or two off - example

A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are one gear off the reference lap, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.

Extra - We've noticed that your trail braking can improve. In racing, being smooth is important to keep the car balanced and the grip levels high. While the first attack on the brakes is supposed to be very quick, releasing the brakes is a slow and smooth process. Try to start releasing the brakes at around the turn-in point and do it in a gradual motion until you reach the apex. Example

Extra - Biggest issue at the moment is that you are often dropping off the throttle instead of pushing through to 100% throttle, try adjusting your racing line slightly, a little tighter to the apex will really help. Example

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.
Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - Very good just try to come off the brake a little earlier if possible, test the limits of the car to know how far it can be pushed. Changing down gear early here slowed the car down a little too quickly - example

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed).
Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.
Extra - Try to get in more time trialling, just 3 sets of 5 laps with analysis will really be beneficial. Watch out for over braking, holding the brakes too low should be constantly in your mind when you are in the braking phase of the corner - example
----------------------
02/08/2023
Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on.
Important! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra - At times you are a bit heavy on fast corners, try experimenting with less braking pressure to help you maintain your speed through these faster corners - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Each fortnight you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls each fortnight and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, each fortnight you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, on this day you'll be able to see your feedback from the instructors (it could be the next day aswell), your score for the assigned task and your progress.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed throughout the fortnight. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know.
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
