Good control through the chicanes. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good and your mid chicane acceleration is great. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.

Bonus Focus Point

At Monza, in the few corners that are not chicanes, you're usually braking just a but too late and that is then costing you time further ahead - Example. We all tend to brake as late as possible, especially when we get the hang of a track, but that'll often times lead to braking too late. Step back a bit, go over your telemetry and try to be just a bit more conservative with your braking points. Try to adjust them during your sessions and find a good middle ground. Good luck!

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

No assessment.

A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.

Extra -

You are braking too lightly in the Lesmos at Monza, causing you to carry too much speed into the apex, and compromising your exit speed as a result. Try braking with more pressure to slow the car more efficiently, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed overall through the corner without compromising the exit, gaining you more time overall. - Example

----------------------

08/04/2026
Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

Extra -

You braked too early for the first Lesmo at Monza, causing you to have a significant lower speed than optimal. The early braking caused you to get on throttle too early, carrying too much apex speed, and requiring a second lift to avoid running into the gravel. Try adjusting to a later braking point and with more brake pressure, so you can slow the car quicker and gain more time. A later braking point will help avoid getting on throttle too early. - Example

----------------------

Great lap times again. You are producing exciting results. Your braking is very good, often you braking a little less i.e. not hitting 100% pressure compared to the reference lap, this would often be a problem but you are achieving this whilst also not being on the brakes for longer than the reference lap. One small point to note though, is that when you do need to brake to 100% you have room to do so a little more quickly. Make sure you take that power through to 100% instead of slowing the velocity of the brake pedal. It is important to note that this is on the engaging braking section not when you are starting to trail brake. Enjoy your next training session, this should be straight forward for you but remember to study the telemetry to find any flaws.

Your braking still lacks consistency. On some laps you're hitting the marks well with good modulation, but in others the pressure is either too light or too heavy for the corner, which then triggers mistakes later in the turn. Work on making your braking more repeatable in the next session—if we can lock that in, we'll be ready to move on to the next phase.

Extra -

Work on improving your trail braking to enhance car control. Smoothly transitioning from heavy braking to a gentle release is essential for balance and grip. Apply sharp braking at the start, then ease off steadily as you turn into the corner, reaching zero brake pressure at the apex. For example, begin lifting off the brakes as you initiate steering to keep the car settled and grippy. Example

24/02/2026
Hi, apologise for the delay. Your apexes are looking good, however occasionally you could use more kerb to cut distance off the corner. We'll move onto the next skill now. Good luck and have fun!

Extra -

When going through sequences of corners, try to find the line that will give you the best run though the whole sequence. Often you were prioritising the first corner, which gave you a bad run through the following turns. - example

----------------------

10/02/2026
Finding the fastest way through a corner isn’t always about sticking to the line that feels “just right.” Sometimes, pushing closer to the apex unlocks hidden speed. Imagine starting wide, aiming your entry toward the curb, and adjusting when you clip the apex—earlier or later, depending on the turn’s demands. On the exit, let the car drift naturally across the track, using every inch of space. Over time, these adjustments become automatic, and once they do, you can fine-tune your approach to shave off even more time.

Extra -

By running slightly wide of the ideal apex, you're giving up cornering speed. Commit to the classic outside-inside-outside line, using the entire track width on entry, apex, and exit in the stable portions of the corner. Example

----------------------

27/01/2026
Good job with your braking points. They were super consistent. If anything you do brake a few meters early but we can work on that as we progress. Well done and good luck with the next assignment!

Extra -

Currently, you are releasing the brakes too quickly. This can unsettle the car and isn't optimal for weight distrubution. Work on releasing the brakes a bit more slowly like the reference lap in this linked segment (example). This helps keep the weight at the front of the car while cornering.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
