Instructor Notes

03/06/2026 - 16/06/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Very nice your speed on the brakes is looking good! Be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra - In these faster corners (example), you're entering very wide without gaining any benefit on the exit. Also there are a number of times you're missing the apex there.
That can be due to how you're braking, a very sharp input and quickly releasing the brakes can lead to understeer at the corner entry. Aim for smoother inputs, lighter braking and smoothly releasing the pedal until you hit the apex to keep the car balanced and avoid understeer.

Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

Really sorry for the delay on the update.
Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). There are still a few segments where you can be closer to the apex, or use a bit more of the apex kerb. Try to check if the kerbs are safe to use during your practise sessions. You'll surely gain a tenth or two if they are!
Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra - You're currently losing a bit of time in corner complexes by letting the car run a bit too deep between the two apexes (example). It's not too much, but enough to make a difference.
In segments like the given example, you need to find a good balance between braking late and going too deep, or prioritizing the exit speed from the whole segment. Often times you'll need to sacrifice some speed after the first apex in order to have a wider line into the second one.
In the example, the fastest way through the segment is to carry a lot of speed into the left-hand corner, but turning in late to ensure you get a very wide line into the second apex. Brake late, but keep slowing down way past the first apex.
Take full advantage of your practise sessions and experiment with different braking points and racing lines to see how each one affects your lap time at the end of this segment.
Good luck!

Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress.  Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra - You are often lifting off in high speed corners. This is a sign of lack of confidence and commitment. To be fast you have to trust the car and the downforce at speed. Try to stay flat in some of these corners - sometimes it is actually better for stability. Sometimes it is okay to lift slightly but do this on the way in, not on exit - it is better for momentum. Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
