Welcome Back!
27/09/2023 - 08/11/2023
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪
Extra -Try to spend a little more time in time trials. Three sessions of time trials before your race. Consider this the same a warm up. It will get your brain thinking about the line and corner speeds without having to worry about anything else. At time you might be able to just lift the throttle instead of braking which will help with your lap times and well as keep a more balanced car - example

Fantastic racing line and you are hitting nearly all of your apex's. Great job using the whole width of the track. Practice trying to take a slightly later apex and see how this affects your deltas. Also have in the back of your mind the angle / direction of the car as you take the apex. The more it is facing in the direction of the coming straight the quicker you'll be able to effectively get on the throttle. Your throttle engagement should generally be within two car lengths of your apex.
Extra -Plan your turn in. Sometimes you are turning in or drifting towards the apex instead of staying wide then attacking the corner. Each tactic has it's merits but try not to get in the habit of drifting inwards. Use that track width to your advantage - example

You're doing really well, although there were a couple of instances where you just missed the mark, normally you are a little too early. No worries though, it happens to the best of us! Something to keep in mind is that sometimes there are segments of the track where you don't need to brake at all. In those instances, simply lifting off the throttle can be enough to help you retain your speed and maintain control.
Enjoy your apex work and don't be afraid to test the entry-apex-exit kerbs!
Extra - Try to get in more time trial practice, just 3 sets of 5 laps with analaysis will really help. Watch your gear choice it is too low quite often and more aggressive out of the corner with a little more width of the track - example

There are some bad corners and some good corners. It is important to braking hard to be able to stretch your braking points. Brake hard and brake deep. Remember to refer back to the reference lap to see how you are doing. Small adjustments are needed all the time. We are a little way off so keep practicing. Each of these plans works on top of the previous one, so we'll get this one sorted then move on. Also, it is important that you don't rest on the brake pedal before you commit to the corner.
Extra - You are currently coming off the throttle too early, have confidence to improve your braking points (these things are all intrinsically related), check out this example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Each fortnight you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls each fortnight and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, each fortnight you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, on this day you'll be able to see your feedback from the instructors (it could be the next day aswell), your score for the assigned task and your progress.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed throughout the fortnight. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know.
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
