Instructor Notes

03/06/2026 - 16/06/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.  Good luck and have fun on track

Very nice, your braking points are sharp and spot on. You have clearly got good reference markers. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trailbraking to improve lap time further. Take a look at the way the reference driver smoothly bleeds off the brakes when going into a corner. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip.

Extra -

Your braking points are looking good, but you're still losing time on the exit of a few corners. That's because you're accelerating still at the corner entry, which is too early. Some cars do need a bit of a push on the throttle to help them rotate towards the apex, but your inputs are making you carry too much speed at the apex, which then causes you to lose time at the exit to avoid going wide.
Be patient, try to avoid pressing the throttle too early (before the apex) and try to trail brake further into the corner to help you carry some speed on the entry while also slowing down for the apex. Example

There were some good segments but unfortunately too many missed braking points. Practice trying to be consistent. This is best done by driving a little slower than your maximum. Remember your braking points and try to repeat for 3 laps in a row, always trying to be within a second and a half of the lap before. Only when you achieve this try going a little faster. Repeat his process for many laps but don't forget to put back to the analysis to make sure you aren't making any big mistakes.  Brake hard and fast, never rest your foot on the brake before committing to the braking point. Good luck and I'm sure with enough laps and the advice above you'll be passing this driving skill.

Extra -

You are braking too late for a lot of corners, and overshooting them and running wide as a result and costing you time. Try adjusting to an earlier braking point to avoid overshooting the corner and gain time by being able to properly take the corner. - Example

Another small note, but try and set a deadzone for your brake pedal, as you seem to be resting on the pedal, which costs you free laptime, especially on the straights. - Example

----------------------

There are some bad corners and some good corners. It is important to braking hard to be able to stretch your braking points. Brake hard and brake deep. Remember to refer back to the reference lap to see how you are doing. Small adjustments are needed all the time. We are only a little way off so we will move on. Each of these plans works on top of the previous one. So don't forget your braking points as we look closer at the apex of each corner. Also, it is important that you don't rest on the brake pedal before you commit to the corner.

Extra -

You are applying braking too early, with little pressure, before applying more pressure later on in the braking zone. You are also on the throttle during the initial part of braking. Try braking later and much harder, with more urgency to get to 100% brake pressure. Also, try avoid holding two pedals at the same time, especially in the braking zone, as that will only reduce your braking capability by having the throttle on whilst braking. - Example

Welcome Back

Extra - We've noticed that your trail braking can improve. In racing, being smooth is important to keep the car balanced and the grip levels high. While the first attack on the brakes is supposed to be very quick, releasing the brakes is a slow and smooth process. Try to start releasing the brakes at around the turn-in point and do it in a gradual motion until you reach the apex. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
