05/12/2023
Overall, this is a good pass on the assignment, but do keep in mind that your braking needs some improvements both on trail braking and on the speed with which you press the pedal.
Extra - There were a few places where yo were dropping a few gears too low. Here's an example of that happening. While at the time it might seem faster to be in a lower gear, it will slow your car down too much at the apex and then you risk having some oversteer on the exit.
---------------------
28/11/2023
Overall, not bad, but you can still improve. The main points you need to focus right now are your gearing and your braking. For the gearing, take a look at the reference laps - they're a good help at figuring out the best gear for each corner.
As for your braking, you're a bit slow when you press the brake pedal and then you release it very quickly on the corner entry. You actually need to do the opposite of that. Get on the brakes very quickly and then slowly release them.
Extra - You're usually doing well in this, but there were one or two occasions where you could have used a bit more track on the approach to the corner. Here's an example.

14/11/2023
For this assignment, we need a few more laps to make a good analysis of your driving skills. Β To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data, between 25-40 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
Extra - From your short sessions, we noticed an important thing about both your inputs on the brake and the accelerator. You're treating both pedals almost as an On/Off switch where you're either on full throttle/brakes or no input at all. Smoothness is very important in racing and definitely the best way to be fast. Smooth inputs mean a balanced and grippy car, so when you're releasing the brakes, do it smoothly and when you're accelerating, also do it smoothly. And remember, you don't always need to go all the way to 100%.
Here's an example for you to take a look at.

Well done, you have successfully completed your setup work. Your grasp of testing different setups in sim racing demonstrates your commitment to improving your skills. Good luck for your next Combination Assessment.
Extra - We're still seeing the same issues, so we'll keep the same comment with different examples - You can be a bit faster on the brake pedal. You'll be able to reduce your braking distance and brake later if you manage to be faster going from 0% brake pressure up to your desired pressure (normally 100% on heavy braking zones)
Here are a few examples for you to analyse your braking performance - Example 1 | Example 2

24/10/2023
This is an irregular assessment but it does help to set a foundation of driving and analysing, please follow the criteria outlines below to advance to your next training plan.
Pass Criteria:
1. A minimum of 5 sessions on the same track
2. Each session a minimum of 5 laps
3. Analysis of at least 50 segments
Extra - You can be a bit faster on the brake pedal. You'll be able to reduce your braking distance and brake later if you manage to be faster going from 0% brake pressure up to your desired pressure (normally 100% on heavy braking zones)
Here are a few examples for you to analyse your braking performance - Example 1 | Example 2

17/10/2023
Sorry, there was a mistake from our part and your training plan wasn't updated to your new assessment. You'll now have an assessment about testing car setups. Good luck!
Extra - There are a few places where your trail braking can improve. You're releasing the brakes too abruptly into the corner and holding onto full brakes for too long. This will not only slow the car down too much, but also cause understeer.
Try to gradually release the brakes when you start turning into the corner. You should be completely off the pedal at/when you're near the apex.
Here's an example for you to analyse
---------------------
03/10/2023
You've managed to be consistent in quickly getting to 100% throttle, well done! It is not an easy skill to learn. An important note though: you don't always need to rush to 100%. Smoother is always faster, so track knowledge and analysing telemetry is very important to understand the best places to be slow and smooth and where you can be more aggressive on the pedal.
Extra - There are a few places where you're holding onto full brakes for too long and it's making you lose a lot of grip in the corner and slowing you down more than you should. Try to be a bit smoother when you're coming off the brakes and start lifting a bit early. Here's an example for you to analyse
---------------------
26/09/2023
A nice improvement here. You show a smoother movement on the majority of segments. Just be aware that it is very easy to slip on this area. That smoothness of steering (as well as braking and throttle) will help you maintain a balance / weighted car. This combined with ensuring your use the full width of the track might help shave another few tenths off your time.
Extra - There are a few places where you can use more of the width of the track to make the corners as wide as possible and to make it through a bit faster. here are a few examples - Example 1 | Example 2
---------------------

Sorry for the (very) late update.
Controlling the steering can be a subtle skill. Just a small adjustment to the wheel angle can make a difference to your acceleration and the speed of the car. You're turning the steering wheel a bit too much, so it is important to jump into the telemetry as you have done with great success. Good luck and you'll hopefully see improvements on this with plenty of practice.
Extra - There are quite a few places where you're lifting off the brakes too fast on the corner entry, treating the pedal almost like an On/Off switch. When you approach a corner, brake fast and hard, then, when you start turning into the corner, smoothly lift off the brake to keep the car balanced into the corner. Here are a few examples - Example 1 | Example 2
---------------------
29/08/2023
Some nice improvements, well done! There were still a few corners where the Trail Braking could've been better, but overall, well done.
Extra - Do watch out for corners like this one where you don't need to brake. Sometimes a small lift is enough
---------------------
22/08/2023
Unfortunately, you did most of your laps on Assetto Corsa in car/track combos that were not supported by Track Titan and there was an error saving your F1 23 session. We're very sorry, and please try to drive more Kunos combos so that we can guarantee their assessment. Thank you
---------------------
15/08/2023
We can still see the same thing: holding the brakes for too long and then a quick drop. Try to first be smoother on the pedal, then you'll feel more confident to release the brakes earlier.
Extra - You're a gear too low in some corners. Choosing a lower gear increases the chance of wheelspin and oversteer on corner exit, but also might make you a bit slower on the apex. The Track Titan app can be helpful when you feel stuck between gears. Here are a few examples - Example 1 | Example 2
---------------------
08/08/2023
We believe there's still some room for improvement. You're usually holding onto full brakes for too long and then releasing the pedal too fast. Try to start lifting a bit earlier and more smoothly - example

01/08/2023
In order to make a better assessment (and for you to make better progress), we need a few more recorded laps to analyse. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data, between 20-40 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. π
Extra - From your short session in Spa, we noticed that, while you're using well the width of the track, you're turning in quite early, which is causing you to lose plenty of time. Turning in early will make a corner tighter and therefore you'll be slower going through it. Try to turn in a bit late and if you're having difficulty finding the best turn-in point, you can always check the reference laps in the Track Titan app.
Here are a few examples for you to analyse - Example 1 | Example 2
---------------------
25/07/2023
A narrow pass but a pass nevertheless. Take note of your weaker areas as these have cropped up again in this Combination Assessment. Lifting off the accelerator is causing you issues. It is often repeated but maintaining a smooth motion in all aspects of your driving is so important. Whether it be your throttle, brake or steering. Work on this smoothness by dropping your speed just a little and sense how you are using the pedals then as always go back to the analysis and make sure things are smooth.
β
Extra - When you need to lift on the throttle start to think more about how much is the bear minimum IΒ can lift to achieve the desired result, also take a look at your aero as you are currently losing time on the straights because of it - example
---------------------
18/07/2023
This is a pass and quite a good one. Sometimes you really hit the throttle perfectly. As always, it is about the consistency of this. It is common for throttle work to be a more evolved process. Trickier to master and stay focused. When you achieve a good acceleration point then you'll be half way to achieving the desired smooth acceleration with no lifting off.
Extra - There are still occasions then you have an unnecessary lift, remember review your telemetry to spot these errors - example
---------------------
11/07/2023
This is always going to be a tricky skill to learn and this week you nailed it fantastic job, textbook! When you got 'in the groove' you were churning out lap after lap. Both at speed and also very consistently. As with all these plans and skills try to remember and build on it for the next assignment. Take this great consistency and try to slowly push harder but importantly maintain your consistency. If you start to struggle just back off a little until the consistency comes again.
Extra -Keep an eye on your racing line as you struggle here sometimes. Also remember your Power and Speed lesson as you quite often drop back to a slightly slower brake - example
--------------------

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

---------------------
13/06/2023
Great lines, you have taken this onboard and most of the segments were using a good racing line. Sometimes you stay a little safe and miss out on some extra width. It is less risky but the lateral forces will be greater at this stage and using the full width of the track earlier can help. It there is one part of the track you could 'push' a little more it would be the apex, look ahead and plan your apex point.
Extra - Speed of braking is an issue here, slow yourself down faster and you'll have longer at high speed on the straights - example
---------------------
06/06/2023
Good control through the chicane, still a little inconsistent but much better this week . Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good however try not to run too deep into the chicane. Your mid chicane acceleration is getting better. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.
Extra - It is important to study your telemetry to see that simple changes can have a big impact. Your gear choice is sometimes letting you down and in the analysis page it would be easy to spot - example
---------------------
30/05/2023
There are multiple types of chicane and in the Brazilian chicane that you were on, you struggle to get your foot to the floor quick enough. It is through analysis that you'll be able to see how the reference lap is able to take a slightly different line and braking differently to you. In other chicanes, different techniques are important. More work required and try to mix it up with a few different chicane options. Zolder or Imola are great tracks to practice experimenting on.
Extra - Avoid braking too hard on these fast sweeping corners you'll be reducing your speed too much - example
---------------------
23/05/2023
We are ready to assess your Chicane assessment. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data, between 20-40 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length). The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. π
---------------------
16/05/2023
Nicely driven you improved in these 4 key areas over the last few weeks. There will always to improvements and adjustments that you can make. At the moment you are braking a little slowly, try to get to your desired car speed for the corner quicker you tend to ease off a little too much around 70-85% pressure. Great gear choices and your racing line was very good. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.
Extra - Try to maximise the width of the whole track to give you a better entry and exit on corners -example
β
β---------------------
09/05/2023
Good corner gear choices. Sometimes you are one gear lower than the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you get better traction going one gear higher. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck!Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....
Extra - Try to focus on hitting your apexes, going slightly slower can help you learn turn in points which will ultimately make you travel less distance which means you will have faster lap times. -example
β
---------------------
02/05/2023
A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are dropping into a gear too low for the corner, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.
Extra - Try to focus on braking slightly later in some places to reduce the time you are off the throttle - example
---------------------
25/04/2023
Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πͺ
---------------------
18/04/2023
We are ready to assess your braking practice. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data, a minimum of 20-40 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

---------------------
11/04/2023
There needs to be more speed and urgency in your braking. Sometimes you nail it but on too many occasions there is too much hesitancy. You are braking similar to the reference lap and getting to 100%Β braking later. Try to press the brake pedal quicker whilst doing your best to maintain traction. Also, try to avoid resting on the brake pedal before fully committing to the braking phase. Practice is needed but it is a skill that is relatively easy to view and adapt to.
Extra - Keep an eye on your gear choice. Experiment with staying one gear higher. It will save on tyre wear as well as my it a little easier to achieve a quicker acceleration out of the corner - example
---------------------
04/04/2023
You're doing a good job of hitting majority of your apexes! Something you may want to think about is about what the next corner coming up will be, you may have a very good corner but you need to make sure you set yourself up well for the next corner. Sometimes you can end up being too tight for the next corner after taking a wide exit. Overall your apexes are nice and good luck on your next assessment!
Extra - Watch out for your gear choices, sometimes you are dropping two gears too low. Even one gear can affect your times so experiment with your gear choice and check you segment times - example
---------------------
28/03/2023
Your braking is nice and consistent, you do a good job of getting to 100% quick and smoothly. Most of your braking points are good however you may want to try and break slightly later in some corners to reduce your braking distance and increase the amount of time you're on the throttle, ultimatley reducing your time. Good luck on your next assessment.
---------------------
21/03/2023
Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Each week you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls each week and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, each week you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, on this day you'll be able to see your feedback from the instructors, your score for the assigned task and your progress.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next seven days. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed throughout the week. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know.
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
β
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
