Some more work is needed here before we progress to the next skill. Have a look at the advice bellow and give this assignment another go. Good luck and have fun!

Bonus Focus Point

Currently, you braking is too inconsistent. Sometimes you are taking too much speed off before the corner and losing time that way, other times you brake too late and run wide. When practicing make sure to compare to the refernce lap and see where you're losing time, focus on the braking points over the next couple weeks. - example

Previous Instructor Notes

Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

Extra -

You are sometimes accelerating out of corners too early, causing you to have to lift off the throttle on the exit to avoid running off the track, but costing you time as a result as your exit speed is compromised as a result of getting off of the throttle. Try be more patient before getting back on throttle initially, so you can go back on full throttle and hold it until the next braking zone, instead of lifting off to avoid going off track. By keeping full throttle, it'll help you gain more time until that next braking point. - Example

Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.

Extra -

You are holding too much brake pressure for too long, causing your speed to drop significantly earlier than optimal and costing you a considerable amount of time as you are too slow to attack the corner. Try easing off the brakes quicker so you can carry a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall. - Example

----------------------

02/05/2026
Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra -

You are braking with too much pressure for too long, causing your speed to be significantly lower than optimal at the apex and costing you a lot of time. Try applying less brake pressure so you can carry a higher minimum speed through the corner and gain more time overall. - Example

----------------------

19/04/2026
Some more work is needed here. Currently, you are wide at most apexes and that's because you aren't using enough brake pressure which means you are too fast entering the corner. Give this assignment another go and see how you get on.

Extra -

Often, you are a gear off the reference lap which affects you mid corner and corner exit speeds as well as your run down the following straight. After you sessions, check back with the reference lap and see if you need to make any adjustments to your gear choices. - example

----------------------

04/04/2026
Very nice, your braking points are decent. If anything you do brake slightly early, but that is suited to your level of experience. As you develop we can push those further. There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks but you are already making progress.  Braking is critical to set up the whole dynamic of a corner. If you don't get this right it is impossible to make up for it with other areas of driving. Next up is your first racing line technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra -

In Turn 7 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, you don't apply enough pressure on the brakes, and you release the brakes too quickly, causing you to carry too much speed and completely miss the apex and run wide, costing you significant time. Try apply a bit more pressure on the brakes initially, and then ease off the brakes slower, so that you can continue slowing the car down, but maintaining a higher minimum speed through the corner, gaining you more time. - Example

We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

No assessment.

There were some good segments but unfortunately too many missed braking points. Practice trying to be consistent. This is best done by driving a little slower than your maximum. Remember your braking points and try to repeat for 3 laps in a row, always trying to be within a second and a half of the lap before. Only when you achieve this try going a little faster. Repeat his process for many laps but don't forget to put back to the analysis to make sure you aren't making any big mistakes.Brake hard and fast, never rest your foot on the brake before committing to the braking point.Good luck and I'm sure with enough laps and the advice above you'll be passing this driving skill.

Extra -

You're actually driving really well at the moment. Just work on your braking, but also have a look at where you're apexing. You're a little bit wide each time, which is costing you a small amount of time. Practise hard for those braking points, and you'll be soon there. - Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
