Please drive more laps.Β  It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 20-30 laps being completed.Β  The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.Β

Good luck and have fun on track πŸ’ͺ

----------------------

30/11/2023
Good control through the chicane. Chicanes are a great insight into a drivers skill level as, it requires a good mastery of all skills, very quickly. Your racing line is good but you sometimes run a little deep due to your braking points. Your mid chicane acceleration is great, nice and aggressive. Also try to be quicker getting on the throttle on the exits (not just in chicanes). Remember gear choice is especially important in chicanes due to accelerating from slow speeds.

Extra - Please do more sessions on the same combo. Really get to learn a track and get to know the subtle corner requirements. Your braking is too early but overall you are progressing nicely - example

----------------------

23/11/2023
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on quite a few segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.

Extra - Work on this braking, you are able to do it but you have to get used to doing it all the time until it become second nature. When you are at this point you can start exploring small variations. Also, make sure you use the full width on exit - example

----------------------

16/11/2023
There were a few improvements but you need to get over this hurdle. The braking still needs to be faster, test that limit. It is known as threshold braking and will help you immensely as you move onto other cars in the future. Start with the powerful braking and then ease off as necessary.

Extra - Please take the advice and work on your braking, it'll be impossible to gain significant time until you improve in this area - example

----------------------

09/11/2023
Nothing has significantly changed since your last assessment. Read through the previous notes again and you'll be able to progress further.

Extra - Here is an example of your gearing issues again - example

----------------------

02/11/2023
Very similar comments to last week. Please reach out to keith@tracktitan.io if you are struggling to understand the instructions in the plans as well as the comments here. The best solution at the moment is to do as many sessions of 5-10 laps as you can in the week and between each one refer back to the telemetry.

Extra -This example again highlights the issues that we currently need to address - example

----------------------

26/10/2023
Your gear choice is holding you back at the moment. Don't drop that extra gear and then we'll be moving forward with your training. There are also still issues with your apex which is wide. We'd suggest taking in more laps if possible and review your telemetry on a regular basis until you really start to nail these fundamental skills.

Extra - Here is an example of where a number of this issues are still coming up, time and time again - example

----------------------

19/10/2023
Similar to last week, your gear choice is your main issue but there are also missed apexes and really need to brake harder on the corners. Start with a small number of laps and check back to the telemetry often to see if you are still getting this fundamental issues that we need to work on.

Extra -This is a good example of where you are making the mistakes that are highlighted above - example

----------------------

12/10/2023
There were a few errors that need addressing. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were many times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good, a few mistakes but your need to keep an eye on how quickly you break. This was sometimes too slow. Enjoy the high downforce car and trust its stopping power. A bit more practice, especially on your gear choices and you'll be moving onto your next plan.

Extra - Another area that would be good to look at is getting close to your apex, really get tight and eyeball your chosen apex point way before you hit it - example

----------------------

Extra - Work on the suggestions above but also look for sections where braking isn't necessary and ensure a good racing line so that you can take the corner with the optimal amount of speed - example

----------------------

24/08/2023
Three laps isn't enough to assess this first combination assessment. We are looking forward to helping you but a large factor comes from getting the laps in on track.

Extra - Smooth braking and harder is very important this will give you more time at full power on the straights and those improve those lap times - example

‍

----------------------

13/07/2023
Still work to do here, read back through your previous notes to see where you need to improve.

Extra - Very important to get these braking points and power sorted as they are core principles that will help improve your (already) good times - example

‍
----------------------

07/07/2023
There were quite a few errors that need addressing. Firstly look closely at your gear choices, has there were many times that you drop into too low a gear. This will be impacting your lap times significantly. Braking points were generally good just a little early, a few mistakes but your need to keep an eye on how quickly you break. This was sometimes too slow. Enjoy the high downforce car and trust its stopping power. A bit more practice, especially on your gear choices and you'll be moving onto your next plan.

Extra - AΒ good line will help significantly with your braking, brake with a straight wheel to start with, if you want your lap times to drop then pay attention to your gear choice - example

----------------------

29/06/2023
There is some good segments and some bad. The main issue is the braking point and the power of braking. These need looking at again as you struggled to find your braking points. Sometimes your gear choice is wrong as well. Most of these basis skills can be easily spotted in the telemetry. Bringing all these skills together at the same time takes time and effort. Concentrate on one or two tracks and you should have this in the bag. Remember try a few quick sessions to ensure there are no glaring errors when you review your telemetry. Good luck and train smart!

Extra - One of the key aspects of driving fast is being able to have smooth inputs, whether they are brakes, throttle or steering. Check out your steering compared to the reference lap. Generally work on calming down on track and driving as smoothly as you can - example

----------------------

23/06/2023
You are still having issues at the moment getting into the correct gear, we'll move on though as your next plan is a very important one. We need to ensure that you are able to complete your plans at the same time. You've now looked at four techniques and these will be analysed to see whether you can successfully use them all at the same time. Good luck and practice smart.

Extra - Reduce the amount that you turn your wheel, excess steering angle will scrub the tyres, which means you'll be trying to make the car turn more than the tyres allow. This over turning results in the tyres travelling at a different angle to the car, a little is ok but too much results in slower times - example

----------------------

15/06/2023
Nothing much has changed since the last time your practiced, read over the 'Finding the Gear' plan again and perform sets of 5 laps at a time until you match the gear to the reference lap. Good luck and train smart!

Extra - It is obvious to say but I'm using this segment as an example, avoid these big dips in the throttle. In a race naturally this can happen but there are times when you are analysing that you'll spot releases of the throttle that are unnecessary - example
‍

----------------------

08/06/2023
We are ready to assess your racing line assessment. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data, between 20-40 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

Make sure you do a most of these sessions on a Kunos car / track combo.

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😊

----------------------

01/06/2023
A little bit more work is needed here. Too often you are dropping into a gear too low for the corner, there is time left on the table when you are doing this. Try to remember the gearing choices of the reference lap and test where you are able to control the car better in this gear and you'll notice your segment deltas should be improving as well.

Extra - You tend to be either a little slow to get to 100%Β throttle or you get on the throttle too early and have to lift off. Try to perfect the your acceleration point just like you have done with the braking point - example

‍
----------------------

25/05/2023
Good braking, you are fast on many occasions but be careful as sometimes you can be a little too timid on the brake. Also, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to loose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins.Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! πŸ’ͺ

Extra - On long hairpin corners try to brake only once. Timing is hard and the time saved or lost can be great. This is true also with the acceleration be careful of hesitation on your acceleration - example
‍
‍
----------------------

18/05/2023
Nice improvement but only just a pass! Try to keep up the laps, and most importantly analyse your data, you'll easily see where you are missing your apexes. Looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra - Avoid completely lifting on these corners. You'll be losing too much speed. We are virtual cars so it is worth pushing the car to it's limits. Don't be afraid of spinning out. See if you can start to gauge when the rear wheels are losing traction and are able to go - example

----------------------

11/05/2023
There are times when you hit the apex perfectly, nice and tight with a good line out of the corner. However, there are too many times when you are not pushing this enough and there is still room to get tighter on the apex. Remember start wide on the entry kerb, sight your apex (late or early apex) and then accelerate so that you need to use the full width of the track. A little more practice and your get that feeling for each corner. At that point more experimentation can be done to tweak for small improvements.

Extra - Avoid turning the steering wheel to excessively. You are rotating the wheel far too much at times this won't help turn the car more as there is only so much grip the tyres can provide. Excess turning actually scrubs the tyres (wears them down quickly) and also acts as a brake - example
‍
‍

----------------------

27/04/2023 - 04/05/2023
Your throttle pressure is very low and is affecting your times so much that analysis is virtually impossible. Double check your pedals and ensure that you can run them so that you can hit 100% throttle on all the straights. Often they are running at less than 70%

Extra -Here is an example where there is an issue with the pedals or your setup. Drop keith@tracktitan.io a message if you are unsure of your issue here - example

----------------------

20/04/2023
Well done, good to see a bit of an improvement there. Nice braking points, you are still inconsistent slightly miss the mark. Try to work on your consistency a bit and using the telemetry data will help you highlight the issues quickly. Also, keep a close eye on segments where no braking at all is required. Often just lifting off the throttle is enough and a much better way to retain your speed. Sometimes you also touch the brake before fully committing to your braking point. Try your best to avoid this.
‍
Enjoy your apex work and don't be afraid to test the entry-apex-exit kerbs!

Extra - This is a good example where a faster braking motion would improve your corner delta. Fast corners can often benefit from 'under 100% braking' but in this situation brake fast and all the way to 100% - example

----------------------

13/04/2023
We are ready to assess your braking assessment. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data, between 20-40 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

----------------------

06/04/2023
There still needs to be more laps done to be able to improve on track. The braking point is often missed, either too early or too late. It is so important to review the telemetry data to understand where you are make these misjudgements on track.

Extra - Get close the apex to create a smooth steering angle. Going too wide here means you'll have to turn the wheel more which is slowing you down - example

----------------------

30/03/2023
We are ready to assess your braking assessment. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data, between 20-40 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

Extra - Avoid turning in too early on a corner, try and stay wide and then trail brake into the corner, it'll increase the radius of the corner and allow for a faster corner speed - example‍
‍

23/03/2023
Some corners are ok but there are currently too many where you are braking too early or too late. Refer back to the reference lap and try to adjust your braking point accordingly. Try to avoid resting on the brake before committing to your braking point. Finally there are a number of occasions that you are dabbing on the brake when it is possible to take a segment at full pace. Look for these in analysis and you'll soon be braking at the right points more consistently.

----------------------

16/03/2023
Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Each week you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls each week and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, each week you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, on this day you'll be able to see your feedback from the instructors, your score for the assigned task and your progress.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next seven days. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed throughout the week. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know.

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
‍
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
