We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).
The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

B1 - Braking - The Braking Point | 20/01/2026 (76%)
R1 - Racing Line - Hitting the Apex | 31/03/2026 (71%)
B2 - Braking - Power and Speed | 17/04/2026 (74%)
27/04/2026 - 11/05/2026
Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪

This is good enough to pass, but there is still room for improvment under braking. Focus on holding peak pressure for longer and then realeasing the brakes smoothly. Sometimes you were lifting off a little and then doing a second heavy brake. In the Mazda MX-5, you generally don't want to use 100% brake pressure as in can activate the ABS and cause understeer. We'll move onto the next assignment now, good luck and have fun!
Extra - Currently, you're gear choices are costing you lots of time. Often you are a gear higher than you need to be and in a low powered car like the MX5 this will massively affect your acceleration out of the corner. Try experimenting with a lower gear for a few laps and see how you get on. - example

Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.
Extra - In the final corner at Monza, you are braking and accelerating at the same time, which restricts the car from being able to slow down efficiently, and induces understeer, as you are asking the car to slow down and accelerate at the same time, which hurts your ability to rotate into the corner, hence why you missed the apex. Try using one pedal at a time. Brake later, with more pressure for longer, and gradually ease off the brakes as you approach the apex, then use the accelerator. This will help avoid running wide and missing the apex. - Example

Sorry for the delay on the update.
Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready.
Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!
Extra - You're often going down through the gears too quickly during the braking zones, sometimes to the point that you don't give the engine time to catch up with the wheels (example). This is often increasing the braking distances especially in longer braking zones.
Downshifting aggressively comes with a few consequences, you'll have less engine braking since the car will spend more time between gears and rev-matching, increasing braking distances; you'll have a higher risk of overrevving the engine, with possibly catastrophic results; you also run the risk of downshifting and losing grip on the rear axle since the wheels might not have time to catch up with the engine revs.
It's also worth to mention that you're sometimes also shifting too far down and that costs you a lot of speed in the corners.
A GT3 car only has 6 gears, so you'll need to take it a bit easier on the gearbox. Brake hard first and go down through the gears one by one with a bit more ease. Give the car time to catch up and downshift once more after that. Once you have gained some practise, you can also go through your telemetry and compare your gear choices to the reference lap to see where you can gain some speed by choosing the right gear.

This is a bit of a close pass since you're often braking a bit early. It does look like you're consistent on the brakes and have good reference markers and that's always a good sign!
There are a few areas we can work on over the coming weeks with regards to brake pressure and trailbraking to improve lap time further. Take a look at the way the reference driver smoothly bleeds off the brakes when going into a corner. This is better for weight transfer and overall grip.
Extra - In most corners, you really need to be closer to the edge of the track both at the entry and exit. That will widen the corner radius, then you'll be able to carry more speed and brake later (example).
Try to also use the kerbs for some extra, but essential, width and also use them as a guide for your racing line (entry kerb -> apex -> exit kerb). Test them out during your practice sessions to see if they're safe and how much kerb you can use without risking stability.

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.
Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.
We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.
Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.
The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.
If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"
Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.
Good luck and have fun on track 💪
Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
