Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

Bonus Focus Point

You are braking with too much pressure, causing your speed to drop significantly more than optimal and costs you a considerable amount of time, as that affected speed is carried onto the straight, meaning that you are losing time for the entire straight. Try braking with less pressure so you can carry more speed through the corner, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time overall as a result, which also follows onto the main straight. - Example

Previous Instructor Notes

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Occasionally you were applying the brakes when not needed. A quick check back at the reference lap will really help find these little wins. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps! 💪

Extra -

You are braking a bit too hard too early, causing your speed to drop more than the reference lap and costing you a bit of time as a result. Try braking a bit later so you can brake at that pressure at the right point, allowing you to carry the most speed possible before needing to brake, which will gain you more time overall. - Example

23/04/2026 - 25/05/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Extra -

No assessment.

Please drive more laps. It isn't possible to get a fair and true reflection of this assessment without at least 30-50 laps being completed. The instructors are ready to help you when you are ready.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra - You carried too much speed through Turn 2 at Lime Rock Park, putting you on a shallower line into the next corner and costing you a lot of time on the exit of the following corner. You had to come off the throttle completely in a flat out corner as a result. Try position your car to the outside of the track in preparation for the next corner so you can open the corner better. The exit is super important, as having to lift in that corner affects your speed significantly all the way until the next braking zone. - Example

Could you please drive more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to get a read of how you are doing, even if you are not driving as part of a specific plan. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

Extra - Here you turn in too late. This means your entry is compromised because you have to use a tighter radius. For corners where exits onto the straight are critical you want to be apexing later like this but not here where there is a corner following. Example

Good job with your braking points. There is still room for improvement in some areas but we'll look at those in more detail later on in the plans. We'll move onto the next assignment now. Good luck and have fun!

Extra - Sometimes, it's better to brake with less pressure but for longer. This helps with the cars weight balance though corners. Have a look at this linked segment and compare your brake inputs to the reference laps (example.

Some more work is needed here. Currently you are running deep into the corners and that's because of some mistakes under braking. Have a look at the advice bellow and give this assignment another go.

Extra - Currently, you are braking way too late which causes you to run wide. You are also using too much brake pressure which means the ABS activates which means the brakes aren't as effective. Focus on braking a bit earlier and using a little less pressure. This will also help with the balance of the car. - example

----------------------

15/01/2026
Your braking points were sometimes really good but there was too much inconsistency. Try driving just a little slower and really learning and nailing those braking points. Also, it would be a idea to continue breaking your sessions up into sets of about 8-12 laps and then referring back to the reference lap in between.

Good luck and you'll be onto the next racing skill.

Extra - Your biggest hurdle at present is lifting off the gas prematurely rather than flooring it to complete throttle. Try refining your trajectory slightly by taking a tighter line into the apex—that'll be a game-changer. Example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
