A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.

Bonus Focus Point

You are too slow getting back on throttle on corner exits, costing you a lot of time as a result of your exit speed being affected significantly. Try get back on throttle earlier so you can carry a quicker acceleration out of the corner, gaining you more time overall. - Example

Good corner gear choices in general. Sometimes you are one gear off the reference lap, try testing with the different cars that you drive whether you have the control choosing a different gear. Try and compare the deltas to get a feeling for whether there is a big difference on your lap times. So you've reached a milestone - well done! Your next weeks training, will be assessed on how well you perform with all the plans that you have driven so far. You are currently doing really well and should find this straight forward, just strive to increase your consistency and push for slightly quicker lap times. Good luck! Time to bring all that you've learnt together now in the next assessment....

Extra -

You were too slow getting back on throttle in the final corner, causing your exit speed and straight line speed to be lower than optimal, costing you a lot of time as a result. Try apply the throttle earlier on the corner exit, as not only does it give you a higher exit speed, but as this is leading to a long straight, you will have a higher speed on the straight, gaining you more time overall. - Example

Very nice, be careful how much pressure you apply on fast sweeping corners, it is important not to lose too much speed by braking too heavily, generally you are OK at this but a couple of mistakes were visible. Next up is your first acceleration technique, good luck and keep knocking out those laps, the more the better! 💪

Extra -

You are hesitating with the throttle, costing you time on the exit, as you are not able to carry as high of an exit speed as the reference lap due to the delay in getting back on full throttle. Try get back on throttle quicker without hesitating too much, so that you can carry a higher exit speed, and gain more time overall as a result. As this is corner leads onto a long straight, the quicker you can get on the throttle on the exit, the more speed you can carry down the straight, and therefore the more time you can gain. - Example

----------------------

11/05/2026
Your brake inputs are OK but you are running wide on exit because you're not getting the car slowed down enough. This is because you are releasing the brakes too quickly which means you are a little too fast entering the corner. Give this assignment another go and see how you get on.

Extra -

You are often a gear too high through the corner which affects your exit speeds, especially in a low powered car like the Formula Ford. Experiment with a lower gear and see if you can get a better run out of the corner. - example

----------------------

25/04/2026
Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra -

You are braking too lightly, causing you to carry too much speed entering a corner, and significantly you time significantly on the exit as your exit speed is affected due to overshooting the corner. Try applying more pressure on the brakes so you can slow the car down more efficiently and avoid overshooting the corner, gaining you time. - Example

----------------------

13/04/2026
Your braking points are good. Well done. You are often braking ~20m early in heavy braking zones. Try to push those braking points back a little to find time. This is good enough for a pass so we will move onto the next assignment. Good luck and have fun out on track!

Extra -

When braking, you should hold peak brake pressure for longer to help the car slow down. Often you were lifting off the brakes early which caused you to run deep into the corner. Have a look at the linked segment, notice how as soon as you release the brakes you are wider than the reference? Try to copy the reference laps brake shape and see how you get on. - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
