Instructor Notes

30/01/2026 - 13/02/2026 - 19/06/2026
We are ready to assess your practice from last week. Please provide us some laps and we'll check again on your next turnover day. To really learn a track in Sim racing, from our analysis of users data between 30-50 laps in a week are required to improve significantly (depending on track length).

The next Instructor notes will be provided when we have sessions to review. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing your improvements. 😁

Your braking is too inconsistent. Sometimes you are showing good technique and other times your braking strength is not where it needs to be for that particular corner. This leads to other mistakes in your driving. Try to improve your consistency for the next assessment so we can move past this stage. Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

Extra -

Brake harder and faster even on the fast corners, try a quick dab instead of your currently longer ease on and off, test these two styles. Example

There needs to be a little more speed and urgency in your braking. Sometimes you nail it but on too many occasions there is too much hesitancy. You are braking a little earlier than the reference lap and getting to 100% braking later. Try to press the brake pedal quicker whilst doing your best to maintain traction. Also, try to avoid resting on the brake pedal before fully committing to the braking phase. Practice is needed but it is a skill that is relatively easy to view and adapt to.

Extra -

Here you go too deep into the first part of the chicane. This makes the final left much tighter and means you cannot accelerate out early enough. You lose time from this mistake. Compromise in chicanes is key to the best overall time. Example

Okay, you are hitting most of your apex's. The smoother you can be with your racing line the more you can distribute grip to all four tyres. There are a few areas you can tweak over time on your entry and exit lines but you are starting to learn the clipping points mid-corner. Keep it up! You just need to apply this on every corner.

Extra -

Your next step is to focus on increasing cornering momentum, particularly by pushing your braking points closer to the turn and maintaining throttle input longer. This will directly improve your exit speeds and reduce lap time deficits. For example, a smoother transition from braking to throttle can help you maintain flow through the corner. Example

Thanks for the laps. Your braking points are looking decent, a few places we can work on as we progress but ok for now. Keep up the good work!

Extra - When braking, you can use a bit more brake pressure to slow the car down more. There were a few times in highspeed corners where you lifted off the throttle too much. Try to take some more speed into those high speed bends. - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
