Could you please run more laps? We need about 30 to 50 to make sure we're getting it right. The instructors are here to help whenever you're ready. Good luck, and hope you have a good time on the track!

Previous Instructor Notes

11/06/2026
A good combination assessment. There were many good laps exhibited and the majority of the racing skills learnt have been displayed on multiple segments. There were some areas where improvements are needed and these will lower your lap times. Firstly, work hard at those braking points. If there is one area that needs to be studied and perfected, this is the most useful. Secondly, there are a number of times that your gear choice could be improved. Learning really comes from driving, analysing and then driving again until you feel you've reached a wall then analysing again. This habit will really help you improve as quickly as possible.

Extra -

You are too slow getting back on throttle on the exit, causing your exit speed to be compromised and costing you time as a result. Try get back on throttle earlier so you can carry a higher acceleration out of the corner, which you can carry onto the straight, gaining you free time overall. - Example

----------------------

13/05/2026
Your braking is looking good. There are places you could improve but in general you follow the power and speed of the reference driver well. Try to be a bit smoother on the pedal and avoid pumping the brake which can unsettle the car. Keep it up and look forward to reviewing your gearing next.

Extra - You are coming off the throttle too early, causing your speed to drop earlier than optimal, meaning that when you are at the ideal braking point, you have to brake much lighter so you can carry more speed. However, you end up carrying too much speed and run wide. Try stick onto the throttle for longer before getting off the throttle for the brake, so you can carry more speed before the braking zone. The extra speed will help you apply more brake pressure to slow the car down more efficiently, which will also help avoid running wide, and allow you to gain more time overall as a result. - Example

28/04/2026
Very nice. Tight to the kerb on the majority of the segments (where needed). Keep up the laps, amazing work and looking forward to see how you perform on the next assigned task.

Extra - You are taking a very shallow line on corner entry, which compromises you speed significantly on the exit as you are unable to carry the ideal speed without running off track due to a very tight line. Try start more towards the outside of the track to open the corner more, allowing you to maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time. - Example

----------------------

15/04/2026
You're braking points are spot on. Well done. Not much to comment on here, however there was one heavy braking zone where you broke a bit late. Just make sure you not overdriving in those areas. This is good enough to pass so we will move onto the next assignment now. Best of luck and have fun!

Extra - Often you are shifting a gear too low. This affects you acceleration out of the corner as you lose time having to shift up again. Try experimenting with higher gears and see how you get on. - example

----------------------

31/03/2026
Cheers for the laps. In general you are braking too early in most corners. However, despite this there are times where you still go wide in the corner by being too fast at the apex. This is because you do not always use the full potential of the brakes early on to slow the car when it has the most downforce. Try some more laps and compare yourself to the reference. The braking is the key as all other aspects will branch off this if you get into the right place on corner entry and everything else will improve with it.

Extra - In Turn 3 at Charlotte Roval, you are braking with a lot of pressure, however, the corner can be taken with just a lift off the throttle. Your speed is lower than the reference in this section, and braking reduces it considerably more. This puts you off rhythm for the next right hander as you are unable to naturally drift to the edge of the track to open it for the next corner, which costs you time. Try lifting off the throttle so you can maintain a higher minimum speed and gain more time. The higher speed will allow you drift to the edge of the track to open the corner better for the next right hander. - Example

----------------------

17/03/2026
There were some good segments but unfortunately too many missed braking points. Practice trying to be consistent. This is best done by driving a little slower than your maximum. Remember your braking points and try to repeat for 3 laps in a row, always trying to be within a second and a half of the lap before. Only when you achieve this try going a little faster. Repeat his process for many laps but don't forget to put back to the analysis to make sure you aren't making any big mistakes.

Brake hard and fast, never rest your foot on the brake before committing to the braking point.

Good luck and I'm sure with enough laps and the advice above you'll be passing this driving skill

Extra - At times, you may need to brake earlier due to insufficient braking force. This inconsistency leads to lost time, as it reduces your speed on the previous straight. Additionally, pay close attention to your throttle application; it's crucial to avoid lifting slightly before fully accelerating to 100%. Focus on these aspects, and you will notice improvements in your lap times - example

Great to have you onboard and hope you are ready to do some training! The process is super simple. Every two weeks you'll have an assigned task which your instructor will set based on our training schedule. Each task will be an important driving technique that you'll need to master in order to progress to the next discipline.

Having assessed and written hundreds of training plans, Track Titan instructors have analysed our drivers achievements and pitfalls and the results show that a consistent application of the driving techniques is crucial to progressing as a good, fast and safe driver. Therefore, every two weeks you'll be tested for consistency and quality of the chosen technique. If the instructor feels that more time on track is required to progress then no problem, hone your skills, dig deep and you'll soon pass to the next discipline.

We have assigned you a turnover day, the instructors will then assess your driving and provide your score for the assigned task and your progress. This will be vary, but is normally available within one to three days.

Please follow the advice in the assigned task and practice this race technique as much as you can in the next fortnight. We require 30-50 laps in this period to give you a good assessment of your driving. Remember, referring back to the reference lap and in particular the telemetry data to see how you need to perform to perfect a skill will aid your progress and competence.

The Instructors will look through the sessions and laps you have completed over the last fourteen days. Priority will be given to hot lapping and time trial laps if available. We understand that with changing conditions (tyre wear, weather, fuel load etc.) the ability to perform consistently and with quality similar to the reference lap alters. This is taken into account with all our assessments. Needless to say, the more laps driven the better your training and practice will be and the better the understanding of your current abilities.

If you have a different motivational goal, please let us know and we'll change it from "Improve driving technique"

Enjoy the training, enjoy the journey.

Good luck and have fun on track 💪

Yours sincerely,
The Instructors
