Combination Assessment 1

X1

Introduction

This is a special assessment. In order to complete this task you need to pass all of your previous assignments. Yes, you heard that right! All previous assignments - in one week. The logic is simple: once you have isolated a skill and practiced it, you then need to reproduce these skills in tandem, a much harder proposition.

The theory of the driving discipline

In this assessment a minimum of 30 laps in the week is required. Just as reminder, these are the tasks that you'll be assessed on:

Braking
1. The Braking Point - B1
2. Power and Speed - B2

Accelerating
1. Finding the Gear - A1

Racing line
1. Hitting the Apex - R1

Suggested training schedule
Session Laps Advice
1 5-10 Similarly to your previous training, learn the track and refresh yourself on your braking points.
2 5-10 Build up your speed, but without compromising your racing line!
3-5 10 These are your full training laps. Remember the skills you've learned. Ensure you brake consistently at the braking point, and really feel what the car is doing underneath you.
Remember - you'll be assessed on your ability to maintain the quality of your braking, racing line and gear choice on multiple laps.

Understanding the telemetry

No extra telemetry information this week, all the details required are to be found in the previous assessments.

Extra Tips from the Instructors

Drive sets of 5-10 laps and then refer back to the analysis to judge your progress. Adapt. Make fine adjustments. Then hit the track again.
