Conclusion

Great that the pedal is sorted. Next to move on to highlight some driving improvements that are needed. When you brake you often overshoot the corner. ABS triggers and you lose time. In the Castle section T8-9, the racing line often is different.

Assigned Task

Force yourself to brake a little earlier, this will set you up for a clean corner instead of 'fighting' the car. Biggest win whilst training for your next race is to concentrate on your lowest gear selection.

1st key mistake:

Gear too low

Why it matters

As you progress through your training. There will be key techniques that continue to plague you. This one is relatively easy to fix.

How much of a problem it is for you

Still a high percentage of your errors are from being in too low a gear. Nearly a quarter of mistakes are found here.

See an example in your own sessions

Segment 2 demonstrates how just a slight delay in climbing your gears is costing you a tenth per corner.

Learn to improve

Write down the corner names (or use T1 etc) and the lowest gear, found from the reference map.  Try to memorise and repeat on track. This will help to force out your bad habits.

2nd key mistake:

Coming on and off the brakes inconsistently

Why it matters

Each corner requires a plan, to maximise the potential gains and
exit speed. Coming on and off the brakes, can be related to
indecision or very minor errors.

How much of a problem it is for you

12% of your errors are related to this mistake. Depending on the
corner this can greatly affect your lap times.

See an example in your own sessions

Segment 1 has the tell tail down up down of the brake pedal.  Each up is costing you time.

Learn to improve

The second repeated mistake, one that is generally due to getting onto the throttle too early or slight nervousness in making the corner.  Have conviction and trust your lines.  If you get into the habit of 'lifting off' too often then it'll be hard to shake off.

3rd key mistake:

Too much braking

Why it matters

Over the weeks too much braking has only been a problem twice before. As you improve we'll see different errors emerge on the various tracks.

How much of a problem it is for you

At 12% not too bad. Also this error happens intermittently.

See an example in your own sessions

In segment 3 you have a tendency to either brake too late to feel you need to apply the brakes again.

Learn to improve

Focus on this one segment and try to resist the urge to brake for too long.  Luckily it is near the beginning of the track, therefore a quick reset and you can attempt again.
